My freestanding sculptures are designed to be viewed from multiple angles. As you move around them, the relationship between the forms changes.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind and made with the same attention to balance, color, surface, and composition that runs through all of my work. I use simple geometric forms — circles, squares, bars, and planes — but arrange them so the piece has movement and visual tension.
Most of these sculptures combine powder-coated steel with aluminum that has been worked with a grinding wheel by hand. The color gives the work a strong visual presence, while the ground aluminum catches and reflects light differently depending on the angle and setting.
These pieces can be placed outdoors in a garden, near an entry, on a patio, or in a larger interior space. They are meant for settings where the sculpture can be seen clearly and from more than one direction.
